This website is a repository for information about the pre-pro liquor industry, including names and dates of operation of the old distilleries, the dealers who sold liquor, and the often colorful names of whiskey brands that were popular in the day. 

Straightbourbon.com is an online community dedicated to all things bourbon. Conceived of in 1995 by Jim Butler, a California based computer programmer, then brought online as an “information only” website in 1997 by the Web Services division of Limit Point Systems, Inc. 

You’ll find two working bourbon distilleries on the historic site, which serves as an anchor for the up-and-coming Lexington KY neighborhood. Plus, the easily walkable area combined with its diverse food and drink offerings makes the Distillery District one of Lexington’s most exciting hotspots.
